You should never talk about politics or religions。
首先!Hi ____, I am ____.
It’s nice to meet you. = Pleased to meet you = I’m pleased to meet you.
It’s great to see you again.
It’s really hot today, isn’t it? It’s scorching hot today.
It’s really cold today.
It’s been raining for two days now.
I hate rainy days. Another typhoon is coming.
Is it also hot this time of the year in your country?
Does it often rain where you live?
How was the flight?
How are you feeling? I hope you’re not too jet-lagged. Please let me know if you need some energy boost, like coffee, tea, or red bull.
Is this your first time here in Taiwan?
Then you must try our boba tea/ bubble milk tea.
If possible, visit Din-Tai-Fung and try their XiaoLongBao. It’s super good. Din Tai Fung received a Michelin Star.
Be sure to visit the night markets.
No, I’ve been here before. 我會問
Were you here for business trips or for sightseeing?
What do you like best in Taiwan?
要跟客戶聊得起來,除了要試圖找到one thing you have in common,更重要的是,心態,要對對方
Be curious about them. show sincere interest in them.
1提問,ask them appropriate, relevant questions about themselves,
You mentioned you’re from Boston. I heard the Red Sox is doing great recently. Are you a baseball fan?
Baseball is really popular here. We even call it our national sport. What’s your favorite sport?
What is your favorite hobby?
Q: What is your favorite pastime?
A: I really enjoy hiking.
Q: Cool. Do you know that Taiwan has some of the best hiking trails in the world? Many people see Taiwan as a hiking paradise.
Q: What is your favorite pastime?
A: I like reading.
Q: I love reading too. Who is your favorite author? Is there any books you would recommend?
Q: How’s your week? What was the best part of your weekend?
Q: What is your favorite travel destination?
Q: What type of music do you like?
Q: What’s your favorite basketball/baseball team?
Q: What’s your favorite food?
A: I like desserts.
Q: Then you must try the 髒髒包,dirty dirty croissant, it’s croissant covered with chocolate, so
your hands and mouth get dirty when eating them. It’s gone viral recently in Taiwan.
Q: Have you watched any good movies? Who are your favorite actors/ actresses?
What do you think is the most enjoyable aspect of your job?
How long have you worked for this company?
What’s the/your scope of responsibilities for the company?
>> Does your job entail a lot of travel? What are some of your favorite cities?
What’s your story? I mean, how did you end up in your line of work?
How did you get into accounting?
How did you get into ______?
Have you always been in engineering, or have you worked in other industries?
Do you like Taiwan? Yes/No 就沒了。 How do you like Taiwan? I’m curious to know more about it. 5W1H, who/what/when/where/why/how
My favorite sport is hiking.
記得要be curious, ask questions, listen, and repeat.
